There are many ways you can die in Minecraft. Still, we all manage to do it in one dumbfounding way at least once during our playthroughs.
It’s a natural part of any game like Minecraft, so it’s nothing to be ashamed of.
That’s why I’ve decided to make a compilation of the dumbest ways you can die in Minecraft.
I’m also hoping it will help some of you learn from my mistakes (as well as serve as entertainment).
I mean, there’s no way you’re going to end up defeating the Ender Dragon if you don’t know how to keep your character safe. And that means being aware of funny, dumb, and rather annoying things that can kill you.
So let’s get started.
1. Dying of Hunger
Didn’t know this could happen, did you? Unfortunately, it’s something all of us will find out when playing on Hard difficulty.
The thing is, Easy gets us used to hunger not having a huge impact on us dying. Normal, on the other hand, stops the health loss at 1, so you eventually get used to that.
So, when playing on Hard, you’ll most likely ignore the fact that you can die if you run out of food.
It’s pretty realistic, to be honest. Though it does make you feel dumb for not thinking ahead.
2. Falling to Your Death
Out of all the ways you can die in Minecraft, this has to be the most annoying one. Obviously, it can also be funny at times.
For instance, did you know you can fall off a cliff if a cow (or other animals) pushes you off? Yep, they are out to kill you even if it’s by accident.
Plus, now you won’t have any second thoughts when it comes to killing one of them.
You can also experience this when jumping off a cliff and trying to land in water. Sounds simple, right? Well, more often than not, you’ll end up missing by just one block and hitting the ground instead.
Better just dig down next time.
3. Drowning while Working
That has got to be one of the dumbest ways you can die in Minecraft. We all know that you can sometimes find precious minerals underwater.
Other times, it’s just nice to build an underwater home to get a beautiful view.
Well, if you’re not careful enough, you’ll end up drowning. That’s because you’ll be focused on the work you do, not on the amount of breath you got left.
It goes without saying that it’s the kind of thing that just leaves you feeling plain stupid.
4. Dying in Your Sleep
Now, this sounds more like a random occurrence than something self-inflicted. Well, I’ve found that the hard way.
Apparently, if you sleep in a bed, and there isn’t enough room around it, you have a high chance of spawning in the wall. That means you won’t be able to do much, and your health will just keep on draining.
My advice is to always make sure the room with the bed is higher than 2 blocks and wider than 1 block.
Otherwise, you’ll wake up to a nasty surprise.
